The first works in the FINNLICHER series were created in 2023.
The series consists of strong graphic images pared-down to their essence. The images are set on fine art paper in several monochromatic layers in acrylic paint and a top layer in black ink.
The original artwork is created on 70 x 100 cm fine art paper.
Based on these big originals, small versions are made on 40 x 50 cm fine art paper, each time in a limited edition of 15 pieces. However, each piece is different as every single layer is applied manually in acrylic paint. The top layer in black ink determines the final feel of the piece.
The series is never finished and new works (usually 3 to 6 per session) are added as inspiration strikes.
